How it all started
Let’s dial it right back to the beginning and tell you how Dialdirect Insurance was established. It all started in 2003, in the then slightly smaller offices of Telesure Investment Holdings (TIH).
That’s where a couple of insurance enthusiasts got together and used clever thinking and smart innovation to bring to life a clear and simple insurance offering that South Africans could embrace for their valuables.
That was over 20 years ago. Now, we’re headquartered in Auto & General Park, Dainfern, Johannesburg and we provide a range of affordable life and non-life insurance products, including car, home, buildings, business, and life cover.
Why we do it
We were motivated by a unique desire to cut out the middleman. Little did we know that this would change the whole insurance industry, making it easy and understandable for anyone to get exactly the kind of insurance that they want and can afford – directly from us.
That was just the beginning, really. Today, we’re still using new technology and pioneering innovative ways to take the unsure out of insurance, keep things simple and direct, and generally give you more. Case in point, with Dialdirect Insurance you’ll always know who to talk to about your claim.

This includes an exciting initiative we pioneered to create a loss-free world by making a regular difference to the roads in Joburg (with more roads coming soon).
